Catechism Age Requirements
Grade or class placement in our catechism programme is detailed below. Please note that our class placement arrangement follows the guidelines set for catechism, within the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia. The age requirements for each class are as follows:

Sacrament preparation takes 2 years, both for Holy Communion and for Confirmation
Holy Communion preparation begins in Year 3 / Grade 3 and culminates in the reception of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist at the end of Year 4 / Grade 4.
For the Sacrament of Confirmation, preparation starts in Year 7 / Grade 7, and the candidates receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at the end of Year 8 / Grade 8. Candidates for Confirmation may of course be older than 13 years.
